Build Configuration for Android

Android Build Configuration is required to sign your Android app before publishing it on the Google Play Store. App signing verifies your app’s identity and allows you to release updates in the future.

Before starting, make sure you have already created an Android Keystore (.jks) file.

Refer to: How to Create Android Keystore File (.jks)

Step 1: Open Android Build Configuration

  1. Go to your app’s Build Configuration page in QuikApp.
  2. Scroll to the Android Build Configuration section.

Step 2: Upload Android Keystore File

  • Upload your Keystore file (.jks) in the “Android Keystore File” input field.

This file is mandatory for signing your Android app.

Step 3: Enter Keystore Details

Enter the same details you used while creating the keystore file:

  1. Keystore Password
    • Enter the password you set while generating the .jks file.
  2. Keystore Alias
    • Enter the alias name you created during keystore generation.
  3. Keystore Alias Password
    • Enter the alias password.
    • It is recommended to use the same password as the keystore password to avoid confusion.

Step 4: Save Configuration

  • Verify all details carefully.
  • Click Save to complete the Android build configuration.

Important Notes

  •  Keep your keystore file safe
This file is required for all future app updates. Losing it means you cannot update your app on Google Play.

  •  Backup Recommended
Store your .jks file, alias name, and passwords securely (password manager or encrypted storage).

  •  Do Not Share
Never share your keystore file or passwords publicly or via email.

Once saved, your Android app is ready for release builds and Play Store publishing.
