Provisioning Profile

Provisioning profiles link your app’s Bundle IDwithcertificates and device permissions, enabling proper app signing and distribution.

Step 1 — Create App ID (Bundle Identifier)

  1. Log in to Apple Developer Portal → Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles → Identifiers.
  2. Click + to create a new App ID.
  3. Enter your app’s Bundle ID (e.g., com.companyname.appname).
  4. Enable required Capabilities based on your app needs, such as:
    • Push Notifications
    • iCloud
    • App Groups, etc.
  5. Click Register.

Step 2 — Create Provisioning Profile (.mobileprovision)

  1. Go to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles → Profiles → +.
  2. Choose the profile type:
    1. App Store – For App Store distribution
    2. Ad-Hoc – For testing on specific devices
  3. Select the previously created App ID.
  4. Select the appropriate Distribution Certificate.
  5. Provide a name for the profile (e.g., MyApp AppStore Profile).
  6. Click Generate.
  7. Download the .mobileprovision file.
  8. Upload the .mobileprovision file in QuikApp for app signing.

The provisioning profile is now ready for use in app signing and distribution.
